I’d really like to know why this is not getting more play in the mainstream media. Actually, I take that back. I already know why. It’s because the media don’t want to be proven wrong about the little box they like to put all conservatives into. NEWSFLASH: Not all conservatives and/or Republicans are homophobes! Just as in every group (political, or otherwise), there are always nutjobs or people on the so-called fringes. You cannot berate the entire group based on a small percentage of wackos. I’ll even say the same for liberals. Most liberals and/or Democrats are good people. They are not all Marxist/Communist/Socialist bastards. Same goes for the other side, guys.
That’s all.

Firstly, why are Socialists bastards, and yet conservatives aren’t? Judging by Reagan’s treatment of Latin America, i’d say conservatives are just as bad. The only ammo Capitalists have in degrading socialists, is by saying “yeah….welll….. STALIN!!!!!!! He was one of you!!!!”…… no he wasn’t.
Socialism, to me, is the idea that human nature is not selfish, greedy, and dressed in an expensive suit, driving a luxurious car, whilst a man in the city next to yours, starves to death because he can’t afford to eat.
You tried to suggest in this blog, that socialists are not good people. That, disgusts me.
First of all, there are “bad people” in every group, as I stated. Secondly, there is a lot more “ammo” than just saying “Stalin”. I could also say “Che”, “Castro”, “Lenin”, “Gadaffi”, “Hitler” (a.k.a. National SOCIALIST Party), etc. (Yes, I realize some of these can also be called Communists. It’s a very fine line.) As far as your personal definition of socialism, here are some actual definitions: a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole. Any of various theories or systems of social organization in which the means of producing and distributing goods is owned collectively or by a centralized government that often plans and controls the economy. An economic system in which the production and distribution of goods are controlled substantially by the government rather than by private enterprise, and in which cooperation rather than competition guides economic activity. There are many varieties of socialism. Some socialists tolerate capitalism, as long as the government maintains the dominant influence over the economy; others insist on an abolition of private enterprise. All communists are socialists, but not all socialists are communists.
I do apologize if I came across as suggesting that socialists are bad people. I don’t necessarily believe that. I would say that I just despise what they believe in or that they are misguided. They are absolutely free to believe what they believe, I just happen to disagree wholeheartedly. You obviously disagree with my beliefs, and that’s okay.
