“I am coming to the conclusion that the American people are 1. Too scared, 2. Can’t be bothered, or 3. Like every other war, and we are at war to save our country, let someone else fight it for me while I piss and moan that we have to do something.”

Couldn’t have said it better myself. I think I’m #3, although I actually have tried to do something. I’m doing this blog, trying to inform friends and family without alienating them (woo, that is a hard one, believe me!), purchased and handed out 10 copies of The 5,000 Year Leap & 100 copies of the Constitution, went around my neighborhood with flyers for the Tea Party here in Phoenix, made signs for the Tea Party, and attended it. I feel like I need to do something bigger, though. What needs to happen is a march on Washington, D.C. Hmmmmm.

That’s all.

    Hey Missy,
I felt obligated to write something back since you’ve been working SO HARD at maintaining this blog.
    GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!
I guess if anything (if a “march” were to ever happen in Washington) I can support your efforts by providing you a place to crash. I have a nephew who lives in Alexandria, which has fairly easy access to public transportation to DC. He’s a GREAT guy, and I’m sure would be willing to give you a couch should you need it.
    Keep up the GREAT work!!!!
    Love,
    Uncle Tom
P.S. Hope the cigarette burn is healing well.

Thanks, Tom! You never know, I may need somewhere to stay in D.C. at some point. Actually, the burn may turn into a scar. It’s weird. It’s still very red, then there’s a white circle around that (which I’m assuming is a scar-to-be), and a smaller scab still in the middle. I know, that’s a yummy description, but that’s what it looks like. :)
