“First, they ignore you. Then, they laugh at you. Then, they attack you. Then you win!” ~Gandhi

Remember how they treated those of us who went to the Tea Parties and how they continue to treat us? I do.

9/12 Project Comment June 14, 2009

“I am coming to the conclusion that the American people are 1. Too scared, 2. Can’t be bothered, or 3. Like every other war, and we are at war to save our country, let someone else fight it for me while I piss and moan that we have to do something.”

Couldn’t have said it better myself. I think I’m #3, although I actually have tried to do something. I’m doing this blog, trying to inform friends and family without alienating them (woo, that is a hard one, believe me!), purchased and handed out 10 copies of The 5,000 Year Leap & 100 copies of the Constitution, went around my neighborhood with flyers for the Tea Party here in Phoenix, made signs for the Tea Party, and attended it. I feel like I need to do something bigger, though. What needs to happen is a march on Washington, D.C. Hmmmmm.

That’s all.

Palin Cleared, but no one knows it June 10, 2009

Did you know that Sarah Palin was just recently cleared on all of those “troopergate” charges? You didn’t, did you? I bet you did hear all about her daughter and her baby and the father of the baby, etc., etc., didn’t you? That’s what I thought. Why do you think that is? The same media that brought you every dirty detail about the Palin family’s trials and tribulations has hardly uttered a peep about Mrs. Palin’s vindication. What a shocker.

That’s all.

Please take a look at the above links and watch the videos, particularly, the first one. Unfortunately, this idiot took a video of his actual television screen and so it’s not the best, but what are you going to do. I know, I know, this is going to “waste” an entire ten minutes of your life, but this is important, people! Trust me, you will find this very interesting and if you don’t, you should. Because this country is in trouble. If you don’t know that yet, this should help to convince you.

That’s all.

Did you know . . . June 9, 2009

  • Previous presidents have assigned “czars”, but Obama has assigned the most (16).
  • Czars are appointed by the president without any approval or even discussion by anyone in Congress.
  • Czars report only to the President.
  • Obama’s czars are in control of $1.7 TRILLION with absolutely no input from Congress or anyone else, for that matter, except the President. So far, they don’t even seem to be talking to anyone in the media. That’s because they don’t have to. They answer to no one – except Obama.

  • Watch this video: http://www.businessandmedia.org/articles/2009/20090609205031.aspx. This is very, very interesting. Of course, it’s just one witness, but I’d love to see someone investigate Gretchen’s claims. Actually, this entire segment of the show was amazingly interesting and scary, but I haven’t been able to find the whole thing online yet.

  • Regarding Fiat coming in and “saving” Chrysler: You may be aware of some opposing the deal , trying to bring it to the Supreme Court’s attention. Unfortunately, nothing really came of it. You may wonder what the big deal is. Well, from what I can gather, one of the problems is the fact that with this deal, the unions get the most money out of it, while the secured bondholders get the least. This is completely backwards. For 230 years, secured bondholders have always been the ones to get the most money. ( I suppose, because they put up the most money? I’m not really sure.) Anyway, one judge just completely reversed this. Since there is now precedent, how difficult do you think it’s going to be for future companies looking to raise money to get secured bondholders to help them out? Are they going to want to help a struggling company knowing that now there is no guarantee that they will see the most money back should the company go bankrupt? Great. Way to help out business, Obama!

  • Ten banks have finally been “approved” to return the TARP money they received from the government (a.k.a. us). (That’s right; the government wouldn’t just let the banks give the money back to them. They had to jump through a ton a hoops first. Now why is that? That is the question. Think about it: When you borrow money from someone – credit card company, mortgage company, your rich uncle – who has the power over the other? ) Anyway, it was a total of $68 billion. What do you think the government should do with that money, considering the country is in dire straits and has trillions of dollars in negative cash flow? Do you think maybe they should pay down some of that debt? Ah, but you forget, young grasshopper, we do not live in the land of common sense any longer. We live in a world where spending money creates money, socialism is good, and the government pays children to get good grades! Timothy “Turbo Tax” Geithner has said that he will use the returned funds for future bailouts, if needed.  Gosh, they were right. He is the guy to really get things done! This guy’s a freakin’ genius!

Racism is Racism is Racism June 7, 2009

Filed under: Politics — lissatz @ 12:42 pm

Thomas Sowell, for those of you unfamiliar, is a black economist and author. I love him. Anway, he was on Glenn Beck’s television show about a week ago and they were discussing that racist Supreme Court judge nominee, Sonia Sotomayor. They were talking about this quote (which she has stated about 3 or four times, so this is far from an isolated incident, by the way): “I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life.” Sowell responded, “Racism doesn’t have a good track record. It’s been tried out a long time and you’d think by now we’d want to put an end to it instead of putting it under new management.” HILARIOUS and so true! Just imagine what would happen if a white male Supreme Court nominee had made the following statement, “I would hope that a wise white man with the richness of his experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a Latina female who hasn’t lived that life.” Think about that. Wouldn’t the entire country proclaim from the rooftops that this man was a racist? The answer, of course, is yes. So, why is it okay when the roles are reversed? The only logical and acceptable answer is that it’s not okay and it makes now difference whether a “minority” is saying the words or not. The intention behind the words is racist. Remember Sowell’s wise words.

That’s all.

Too tired to come up with a “title” June 5, 2009

Here are some pictures from when Glenn was in Phoenix from his website since mine were so bad:

Anyways, Glenn was awesome as expected. It was amazing. We had the BEST seats in the house – center, front row. There was about 3 feet between us and the stage and Glenn was often directly in front of us. Of course, as all good “performers” know, you should look at your audience, which Glenn did a lot. He looked at everyone, but every time he looked at me, I was like, “Oh my God. Glenn back is looking at me. For this very tiny moment of time, he actually knows I exist.” I know, I’m a freak, but I guess that’s how people react to their favorite musicians if they happen to get front row seats. Of course, I was hoping that after the show maybe – just maybe – he’d hang out for a few minutes and talk, sign autographs, whatever, but he didn’t. I guess he had to get right to the airport because he needed to be in San Diego the very next day for his next tour stop. I was disappointed, but not surprised. Later, via Twitter, I found out that those lucky bastards in San Diego got to talk to him and stuff after the show. Errrr. Bitterness taking hold. Oh, well.

Oh, I almost forgot that before the show, as we were standing in line to get in, a woman burned me with her cigarette – on accident, of course, but it looks really yucky right now. In fact, let me take a quick picture. You need to see what I’m officially calling my “Glenn Beck Wound of ‘09″.

DSCN0539

Of course, this picture sucks just like all my other ones. This doesn’t even do the wound justice! It actually looks rather disgusting at the moment. Can I sue someone for my charred skin? There must be someone I can get money out of for this. I know who I can call – Al Sharpton! I’m sure he can figure out some money-grubbing scheme. Oh, wait. I’m not “minority” enough for him. Oh, well. (I am TOTALLY kidding here, folks – no desire to actually sue anyone. I’m not a nut job, although some of you might disagree with my assessment.)

I’m not sure what else to say. I’m tired and I need to go to the animal shelter early in the morning (volunteering). I’m also trying to achieve my new goal of reading one book per month. So far, I’m only about 20 pages into a 200+ book – not so good so far. Thankfully, it’s not very long. Wish me luck!

That’s all.

Yes, most of these pictures are bad; they are blurry because we weren’t supposed to use flash (that’s what James says is the reason, at least). I also have a very short video, but stupid wordpress won’t allow it ’cause it’s not in the right format. I’m tired and it’s a “school” night, so I will blog about it tomorrow. It was awesome – funny, moving - trademark Glenn Beck. Loved it!!
