Trezza’s Take

Just my thoughts on everything . . .

Hate to say I told you so May 31, 2009

In this instance, I didn’t really want to be right, but it really wasn’t that hard to predict this one. Please refer to my post entitled, “Survival of the Fittest”, from December 2008. You know, I had many friends and co-workers who were actually for the auto bailouts. And these people are hardcore conservatives! They just thought that in this one instance, we should try to save the car companies because it would affect so many people, etc., etc. I strongly opposed their blind logic by pointing out that the government would ultimately screw it up completely and the automakers would go bankrupt anyways. Well, well, well, look who was right on the money. So, we spent billions of dollars on GM and they are going bankrupt anyway. Who could have possibly predicted that? Gee, I suppose any thinking person could have figured it out considering the government’s track record. What do they NOT screw up? Okay, maybe the military, but that’s where the list begins and ends.

DMV – No explanation necessary

Postal Service – Should be no explanation necessary, but they are way in the hole and think that raising the price of stamps will save them.

VA – Again, no explanation should be necessary. Just ask a vet who has to deal with them – total nightmare.

Medicare/Medicaid – Duh.

IRS – Double duh.

Department of Education – How about those numbskulls we’re churning out!

Gosh, I know I’m leaving out a ton of loser governmental agencies, but this is just what I came up with at the top of my head.

That’s all.
